Welcome to My Website
We constantly are faced with challenges of life, personal growth, relationships, and interaction with others. As we consciously make an effort to experience the humanness in us we become aware of our personal power. There are times when some challenges cannot be faced alone. We need to have a guide, a counselor, a coach to provide us with the tools to overcome these challenges.
As a guide, I believe in my clients' potential for self discovery leading to life altering transformations. My clients come from different walks of life and they each are unique and different. Due to the uniqueness of each person, I use variety of techniques and methods that are designed to help the needs of that individual. Some of the techniques I have been using are behavioral, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, solution focus, narrative, and family systems. Some of my methods include: meditation, hypnosis, art, play, group, sand play, and EMDR therapy. As a therapist I guide my clients to explore the roots of their issues and conflicts and help them make changes in order to experience meaningful lives.
A Little About Myself
I am a marriage and family therapist (MFC 42996); I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Since 2001, my clinical career has been focused on counseling children, adolescents, parents and individuals regarding personal, emotional, behavioral, educational, cross cultural, and crisis issues. I have received California Credential for Pupil Personnel Services from San Jose State University in 2003, and since then I have helped college aged individuals with their career and educational choices. My extensive training has enabled me to guide parents, couples, individuals and teens to manage life challenging issues and make healthy life style choices. In addition I am a certified hypnotherapist and have helped clients with test taking anxiety, and stress management. I have also received training in sand play therapy, Jungian Psychology, and dream analysis, and have recently completed two trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) provided by Laurel Parnell.
